Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Indianola, MS, located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta and home to blues legend, B.B. King. She is accustomed to rural life having grown up in a multi-generational farming family. From the Delta, she moved to Starkville, MS for college (Go Dawgs!) followed by Jackson, MS for medical school. As a fourth year medical student, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. In the spring of 2021, she matched into residency in Little Rock, AR where she completed her 4 years of training to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her final year of residency, she was elected by her peers and attendings to serve as Chief Resident. Additionally, at graduation, she was selected for the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology award. In February 2025, she married her husband, Ryan, who is a farmer in Southeast Arkansas. They moved to Northeast Louisiana following residency graduation and have enjoyed getting to know this community.

Dr. Johnson enjoys the broad depth of OBGYN - practicing both full scope Obstetrics and Gynecology. She comments: “I chose OBGYN over the other surgical specialties because I knew there was something special about taking care of someone over their entire lifetime. I strongly desired continuity with patients and building a lasting relationship for years to come. Through the ups and the downs, motherhood, menopause, or even just a yearly check in, I want to be there for my patients. You can’t convince me there is any better job!”
