Amber Shemwell, MD

I was born in New Orleans, raised in Marksville, went to college in Pineville and completed medical school and residency in Shreveport.

It seems that my entire life has drawn me closer and closer to the place that I now call HOME. I share this wonderful life with my husband, Clay. I strive to balance my busy practice with also being the best Mom and Step-Mom that I can to Kalani & Malia & Blair.

I know that was called to be a servant, a leader, and a decision maker....this is why I feel so blessed and privileged to practice the art and the science of medicine in Northeast Louisiana.

I have a genuine love for the hard-working people of our region and look forward to the many years ahead!
